Prakash Mali aka Professor, Udaipur Cycling Club!

I’m excited to share that I recently hit a major milestone in my cycling journey – I completed my 100th 100km ride! It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I couldn’t have done it without the support and encouragement of my fellow cyclists in the Udaipur Cycling Club.

My journey to 100 Centuries started back in 2018 when I joined the UCC group for my first-century ride to Jaisamand. It was a grueling experience, and I remember feeling exhausted and drained by the end of it. But despite the challenges, I was hooked on the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction that came with completing a century ride.

After that first ride, I started cycling almost every Sunday, pushing myself to cover longer distances and improve my time. I became obsessed with the number 100 and set my sights on reaching 100 centuries as a personal goal. It wasn’t easy, and there were times when I felt discouraged or unsure if I could make it. But with the support of my fellow cyclists and the determination to keep pushing forward, I continued to ride.

Over the years, I’ve cycled to various destinations around Udaipur, exploring the city’s scenic routes and challenging myself with new terrains. One of my favorite destinations is Menar “The Bird Village” (SK), where I recently completed my 100th-century ride. It was a beautiful Wednesday morning with perfect weather conditions, and I set out with my fellow Nitesh by my side. The route was familiar, but every ride is unique in its own way, and this one was no exception.

We cycled through picturesque landscapes, passing through small villages and enjoying the fresh air and natural beauty around us. The ride was smooth and enjoyable, and before I knew it, we had covered 100km. I completed the ride in approximately 4 hours, feeling proud and accomplished as I crossed the finish line.

But this milestone isn’t just about completing a distance, it’s also about the personal growth and transformation that comes with every ride. Cycling has taught me the value of discipline, determination, and perseverance. It’s taught me to push myself beyond my limits, to embrace challenges and to never give up on my goals.

Looking back on my journey, I’m grateful for the support and encouragement of my fellow UCC members. The club has been a constant source of motivation and inspiration, and I’m proud to be a part of such a vibrant and dynamic community. Riding with a group of like-minded people has also been a great way to build friendships, share experiences, and explore new routes together.

Completing my 100th-century ride is just the beginning of my cycling journey, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next. I’m already setting my sights on new goals and challenges, and I’m looking forward to pushing myself even further in the months and years to come.

In conclusion, I want to encourage everyone out there to embrace cycling as a way of life. It’s a fantastic way to stay active, explore new places, and connect with like-minded people. And who knows, maybe one day you too will hit your own milestone and join the century club!
